Members of inside Venus were Bruce Muzik on guitar, Michelle Van Dyk on vocals, and Morne Smit on bass guitar.

Inside Venus started in 1997.  Bruce, who I had played with as a teenager in one of my first “garage” bands, had returned from London and wanted to put a band together.  I was playing 3 nights a week on a graveyard shift gig starting at midnight and ending at 4 am, with Morne in a cover band with a sequencer.

These gigs allowed Morne and myself to become a really tight rhythm section. After a search, we found Michelle who added her incredible powerhouse vocals to the project. I really enjoyed creating and playing my parts for these songs. 

Over 2 years, we played gigs, a few festivals, got some radio airplay and a record deal.
